Medication Assistant Renewal can only be used by the Delegating RN who is approved to teach all Medication
Technician Clinical Updates (4 hour course)
REMEMBER: All renewing Medication Technicians you must complete their required Medication Technician Clinical update
NO MORE than 90 days prior to the expiration date of their Medication Technician certificate (MT) and within the 30 day
grace period following expiration date of your Medication Technician certificate (MT). The only way to submit the required
clinical update is online. The RN must complete CMT Clinical update before the CMT renewal application. Your CMT renewal
application must be completed online, unless there is an issue with discipline. The Board will match the RNs online
verification of your clinical update to the paper renewal form that you have submitted.
It is important to keep in mind: A valid e-mail address is required. The CMT Clinical Update transmittal information will be
sent to the e-mail address provided. If you do not have an e-mail, you can always open an e-mail account at any publicly
available e-mail service. Most of these services are free to the general public. As a form of verification, the approved
Delegating RN will be required to provide their CURRENT nursing license number, last name and social security number (SSN). After
logging into the system, your information will be presented for verification. Please review the information and
make the necessary changes. You must click the "Next" or "Continue" button for the changes to take effect.
